Cookie Notice
The few cookies we set, all of them strictly necessary.
What we set
We use cookies only where the service cannot work without them. There is no consent banner because there is nothing optional to consent to.
- Your session — set when you sign in, so the service knows the requests are yours. It expires, and signing out removes it.
- Your colour scheme — remembers whether you chose light, dark or your device’s setting, so the page is right the moment it appears.
- Sign-in in progress — a short-lived cookie during corporate sign-in, which exists to make sure the sign-in that comes back is the one you started. It is discarded immediately afterwards.
We set no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies, and we allow no third party to set cookies through the service.
Storage on your device
The service remembers a couple of small things locally to save you typing: the username or work address you last signed in with, and your colour-scheme choice.
So that the app works without a connection, your browser also keeps a copy of the backlogs you have opened and any changes you have made that have not yet been sent — on your device only. This is what lets you read and add to a backlog on a train or a plane. Two things follow, and we would rather say them than not: the copy sits in your browser’s storage, so anyone with access to your device and your browser profile could read it; and if your access to a backlog is withdrawn while your device is offline, the copy it already had remains until that device next connects.
We remove all of it when you sign out, when a different account signs in on the same browser, and when a backlog turns out to be no longer available to you. Clearing your browser’s data for this site removes it too. None of it is sent anywhere except the changes themselves, which go to the service in the ordinary way once you are back online.
Refusing them
Your browser can block or delete cookies for this site. If you block them you will not be able to sign in, because there is no other way for the service to recognise you between requests.
