Acceptable Use Policy

The rule

Do not use the service to break the law, to harm other people, or to interfere with the service or the people using it. Everything below follows from that.

Content

Do not store or share content that:

• is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity;
• infringes anyone’s intellectual property, confidence or privacy;
• sexually exploits or endangers a child, in any form;
• harasses, threatens, defames or incites violence or hatred against anyone;
• is malicious code, or exists to deceive people into giving up credentials or money;
• you have no right to put into a service hosted by a third party — including personal data you are not permitted to share, and material subject to export control.

Conduct

Do not:

• try to gain access to an account, backlog or system you have not been given access to, or to escalate the access you have;
• probe, scan or test the service’s defences, except as the Vulnerability Disclosure Policy allows;
• place a load on the service that degrades it for others, or work around its rate limits;
• use automated means to extract data at scale, or to create accounts in bulk;
• resell the service, or present it as your own;
• impersonate anyone, or misrepresent your affiliation with an organisation;
• remove, obscure or falsify the audit record of who changed what.

Reporting and consequences

Report abuse to whoever operates this installation, with enough detail to find it.

Where we find a breach we may remove content, restrict features, suspend or close accounts, and — where the law requires or the harm warrants it — notify the authorities. We aim to act proportionately and to tell you what we have done, unless doing so would prejudice an investigation or put someone at risk.
